Why this course?
I don’t regurgitate information in a soft voice - I am honest and real. I don’t preach that this will make life perfect, in fact nothing is perfect, and the sooner we can accept that the better. This course is totally realistic and super practical. Learn the fundamentals of mindfulness with a good dose of laughter, love, wonderful insights, and honesty. Completely down to earth, useful, and no sugar coating or pretending we are ‘zen’ all the time.
Why 8 weeks?
You want to make a difference, you know you need something to change, you want to form a new and positive habit, so take your time, invest in yourself, give it some attention. We so easily spend money on quick fixes but rarely do we truly invest in ourselves. Practice makes a practice!
How?
Let me support you. This isn’t a case of buying a course and sitting there trying to read up and understand it on your own. I will be with you every step of the way. We will practice. We will enjoy the process together.
Why mindfulness?
It has helped me realise that I can witness my thoughts and feelings without being completely consumed by them. It has allowed me to enjoy the present moments of life even when times are tough. I have felt more in control and less stressed since I studied mindfulness. I lose my sh*t way less – but let me be honest, it still happens sometimes, and that’s ok! This is real life after all.
What is it?
It’s like a light bulb going off in your mind, things start to make sense. It is the practice of paying attention and removing judgement. It doesn’t require hours and hours of your day, and mindful living is about all the small things you can do mindfully every day. Mindfulness is awareness. This is a return to something that we already know how to do, it’s not another thing to add to your to do list. Meditation is a habit that we also what to introduce, in a compassionate way, not as a tough task to get through.

A special combination of mindfulness and journaling…
My Mindfulness Journal for children is accompanied by a separate adults’ guide which is supportive and comprehensive. This is a unique approach, to encourage you to practice too, and take some time out with the child(ren) in your life. Learn mindfulness together and bring some calm to both of your lives and minds, as well as improving communication and bonding. The journal prompts encourage gratitude and positivity whilst addressing thoughts and feelings that may be less desirable. The adults’ guide has pointers for all journal prompts and a three step technique on how to deal with things that aren’t going so well. There are full scripts for the mindfulness activities, which could help towards reducing stress, worry and anxiety, and increase focus and happiness. A wonderful tool for the morning or evening routine to start or end your day well.
There are 90 pages in the journal so this will last you approximately 3 months. The journal is designed for 4 - 11 year olds but is suitable for any age that you feel is appropriate.
£1 from every sale is donated to YoungMinds - supporting children and young people’s mental health.
